Run, Eat, Sleep, Repeat!

After a long weekend, there always seems to be a trend. Maybe we ate a little too much of that delicious barbecue or maybe we just sat around all weekend so we could unwind. No matter what, after the weekend, it's time to get back on track!

Lately, I have been feeling sluggish and off. It's time to get back on track and what a better way than to prepare for a 5K! The Cooking Light and Health Fit Foodie 5K has made me one of their ambassadors and I could not be more excited! Not only do I get to run, I get to offer YOU (my followers!) free entry into the race using the code: FITFOODIEFRIEND. Only the first 20 followers will gain free entry to the race and to the Finisher's Village so make sure to register quick! You can follow this link here. If you're going, make sure to drop a note and let me know! I would love to meet up with you!

The race is happening Saturday, September 12, 2015 in the morning at 7:30 a.m.! There are events on Friday and Saturday as well, so make sure to check that out too!

They also have a charity going on where 5% of all the race entries and t-shirt sales for the first 2,000 runners and 10% after will benedit the American Diabetes Association! Run, eat and do good? Oh yes!

To start off a good week, I went to Chicago Raw and got myself an acai bowl. Such deliciousness in just one bowl. It was filling and since it's cold, it's perfect for the hot 90 degree weather we have been having!

The avocado toast from Summer House Santa Monica was really amazing too. With these healthy and delicious meals, how can I not be pumped for the race??

Let's add more green into our lives and run so that we can eat even more! Make sure to check out the run and let's meet at Jackson Park!

Until the next venture!

Love always,

Van
