I'm On A Boat!
Summer is in full effect in Chicago. Well, at least for these next couple of days. It's a great time to book a dinner cruise and enjoy everything that Chicago has to offer. I was lucky enough to be able to share a dinner cruise with friends, old and new, not too long ago. The clouds were hugging our skyline at the time and it made for some wonderful photos.

Thank you to Odyssey Cruises and my friend Suvi for giving us a night to remember. Now, onto the food!
We were treated with some champagne to get the party started. The cruise is great for couples and friends who just want a night out. There were also parties of families that were there for different anniversary and birthday celebrations. It's an awesome choice for special celebrations!
Our first course was the seafood tower and my, oh my was it a treat! The mussels were probably my favorite. I devoured a good amount of it. It was just too good! The tangy sauces that we were given for the tower was a lovely addition to the mussels too! Sorry to my party for having a little too much fun eating it!
The entree that I chose for the night was the Romesco Crusted Salmon. It's a very warm and inviting dish that includes white bean, carrots, and artichokes inside a parsley stew. The crust on the salmon added a savory touch. The stew was light in flavor and body so it was easy to digest. I enjoyed this dish although I wish it was steamy hot when it came out.
For dessert we each ordered the Odyssey Signature Warm Butter Cake. It's topped with a vanilla bean ice cream that has the consistency of whipped cream and some blackberry sauce that added a slight sweet and tart flavor. This was my favorite out of the course and now I know why it's a signature!
It was a great experience with fun conversations and even some dancing. I am so grateful to be able to know such great people and I can't wait to enjoy even more good times with friends!
